Una-9 was built to survive anything except being alone. When her ship crashes on the dying desert world of Arkan, she finds hidden openings in the dunes that lead to an abandoned colony beneath the sand. Down there, the light only lives while she rides, and when it flickers out, the darkness wakes up.
